Head-Teacher

Looking to recruit a Head teacher St. Michael Learning Centre, a Pre and Primary school in Vorna Valley, Chongwe District in Lusaka Province.

Responsibilities

  • JOB DESCRIPTION
  • • Provide strategic leadership
  • • Ensure quality education delivery
  • • Supervise teaching staff and auxiliary staff
  • • Discipline staff and learners
  • • Represent and report to the Board of Directors
  • • Supervise the preparation of schemes of work and weekly forecasts.
  • • Make Master time-tables
  • • Serve as secretary on the School advisory board
  • • Chair meetings concerning staff and meetings with parents
  • • Ensure all documentation and policies are in place and are filed correctly
  • • Preparation of Newsletters and circulars
  • • Foster smooth parent/guardian communication
  • • Foster positive relationships with all school Stake holders
  • • Supervise and plan for staff training
  • • Ensure the school is compliant and up to date with all compliance issues

Requirements

  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • • Must have a practicing license from Teaching council of Zambia
  • • Minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in Education
  • • Experience of not less than 5 years in a reputable private school
  • • Must have strong leadership skills and high integrity
  • • Must be computer literate and high tech savvy
